No money custody — we never touch your construction funds Photos hashed & GPS-stamped Reports in English & Amharic ምስክር — witness

You know these stories

Every diaspora family has one.
Told quietly, if at all.

The slab that was poured three times

He wired money for the ground-floor slab in March. Then again in June — "prices went up." Then again in October. Three payments. One slab, poured once. Nobody was watching.

The cousin who managed the money

She trusted family, like everyone does. The receipts were always coming next week. Four years and $60,000 later, the "finished" house had no roof, no windows, and no receipts. Nobody was watching.

The condo that stayed a hole in the ground

Off-plan, 40% down, "handover in 18 months." Every call: almost there. On his first trip back in five years, he stood at the site and looked into a hole in the ground. Nobody was watching.

ምስክር means witness. Now somebody is.

How it works

Oversight, made as reliable as the mortgage you pay on time.

Register your property

Five minutes: where the site is, who the site contact is, what stage it should be at. You sign an access letter so our inspector is expected at the gate.

We visit on schedule

A trained, independent inspector walks your site: 20+ geotagged photos, a video walkthrough, every file hash-verified at upload so nothing can be swapped later.

You get the report

English + Amharic, findings flagged, progress measured against what you paid for. And if the gate is refused — that becomes an access-denied report. Silence is also evidence.

The deliverable

The report is the product.

Every photo carries GPS coordinates and a SHA-256 fingerprint taken at capture — evidence, not vibes. Here's what one visit produces.

Questions

The objections you're already making

You've been burned, or you know someone who has. Skepticism is the correct starting position — here are the straight answers.

Why not just ask my cousin? +

Because you love your cousin, and this job ruins that. In half the stories we hear, the person managing the money was family — not because they were bad people, but because nobody can be both family and auditor. We're independent: no stake in the project, evidence-grade capture (GPS, hashes, video), and price benchmarking your cousin can't do. Keep your cousin for Sunday coffee. Let a stranger hold the camera.

Do you hold or transfer my construction money? +

No. Never. Not a birr, not a dollar. We are witnesses, not a bank — you pay us for inspections and reports, and your construction money moves however it moves today. Verification without custody is the whole design: we can tell you the truth precisely because we never touch the money.

What if the contractor refuses entry? +

You sign an access letter at onboarding, so our inspector arrives expected and authorized. If the gate is refused anyway, that refusal becomes an access-denied report — time, place, who said no, on the record. Owners tell us it's often the most valuable signal they ever get: honest sites don't hide.

Is this legal? +

Yes. Property observation and reporting on behalf of the owner — with your signed authorization — is a straightforward professional service, and an Ethiopian service export at that: inspectors employed in Addis Ababa, paid by the diaspora, building a paper trail Ethiopian courts and families can both read.

What happens during internet blackouts? +

Visits happen regardless — inspectors work offline. Photos and video are hashed on the device at capture, queue locally, and upload the moment the connection returns. Our policy: your report is never more than 72 hours behind the visit, blackout or not.

Who are the inspectors? +

Trained inspectors we employ and rotate between properties, so no inspector and site contact get too comfortable with each other. Every capture is GPS-stamped and hash-verified — an inspector couldn't fake a visit if they wanted to. On the Guard plan, a licensed engineer joins quarterly to assess structure, not just progress.
